Hold the Line (Coming Soon)

Hold the Line is available exclusively on the Sophon Server, is a strategic defense mode where you must protect your base from waves of monsters. As you fend off the attacks, you'll upgrade your base to become more powerful and survive longer. Your goal is to survive as many waves as possible and climb the rankings based on how long you can hold out.

Key Features

  • Base Defense: Protect your base by upgrading defenses and defeating waves of monsters.

  • Automatic Weapons: Equip and upgrade automatic defense guns to attack incoming enemies.

  • Survival Challenge: See how many waves you can survive and climb the leaderboard.

Base Features

  1. Location: The base is located at the bottom of the map and is where the defense action takes place.

  2. Defense Guns: Your base is equipped with automatic defense guns that will target and shoot monsters.

  3. Base Levels: The base has 3 stages of development:

    • Levels 1-2: Basic defense with one gun.

    • Levels 3-6: Additional guns and upgraded firepower.

    • Levels 7-9: Enhanced abilities, such as AoE (Area of Effect) damage and healing.

    • Level 10: The final stage with maximum defensive power.

  4. Base Healing: The base’s health is fully restored when it reaches levels 3, 7, and 10.

Gun Types

  1. Machine Gun:

    • How It Works: The machine gun automatically targets the nearest monster.

    • Range: 15 grids.

    • Damage: 100% per shot.

    • Firing Rate: Increases from 10 shots per second to 20 shots per second as you upgrade.

  2. Grenade Launcher:

    • Unlock Conditions: Available at base level 4.

    • How It Works: Fires explosive grenades that cause 200% damage and have an AoE (Area of Effect).

    • Firing Rate: Starts at 1 shot every 4 seconds, increasing to 1 shot every 2 seconds at max level.

    • Additional Effect: Creates a lasting burn effect that damages monsters in the area for 20% damage per second.

  3. Laser Cannon:

    • How It Works: Fires a laser beam that penetrates all monsters.

    • Damage: 1000% per shot.

    • Range: Full map coverage.

    • Firing Rate: The speed of fire improves with base upgrades, going from 10 seconds between shots to 7 seconds.

Monsters and Bosses

  1. Normal Monsters:

    • Move straight toward the base.

    • Upon contact, they deal damage to the base’s health.

    • Heroes can immediately kill these monsters by colliding with them, but they’ll lose 25% HP in the process.

  2. Bosses:

    • More powerful than regular monsters, bosses continue attacking the base even after reaching it.

    • Heroes lose 75% HP on contact with the boss but gain 5 seconds of damage immunity.

Gameplay Flow

  1. Battle Start:

    • Players have a 15-second countdown before monsters appear.

    • Choose an initial buff to help you in battle.

    • Every 10 waves, select a random buff to help you survive longer.

  2. Leveling Up the Base:

    • Monsters drop XP items when defeated. Move your hero near these items to collect them.

    • The base automatically levels up when it has enough XP.

  3. Wave and Base Levels:

    • If the base is destroyed during waves 1-29, you’ll start over at wave 1 with base level 1.

    • If you’re beyond wave 30, you’ll restart from wave 30 with base level 10.
